At the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court today, a man who goes by the name of ‘Unruly boss’, admitted to taking his boss’ car on a joyride and was satisfied with that decision.

The man, Mark Anthony, made his first appearance before the Chief Magistrate and admitted to the offence of simple larceny.

It was alleged that on the 26th December at Fourth Street, La Penitence, he stole a van belonging to his boss, Rajid Singh.

He was employed as a handyman at the time.

The man told the Court that he had no regret over his decision to take the car for a joyride and empty the tank, since he was owed money.

After listening to the facts presented, the Magistrate fined the man $30,000 or an alternative of two months in jail.
