A mini-bus tout appeared in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court today facing assault charges after an argument with another tout, turned into a bloody fight.

23-year-old, Devon Charles, stood before the Chief Magistrate and faced the charge of unlawfully and maliciously wounding Devon Hinds, with the intent to maim, disfigure and cause him actual bodily harm.

Both men work as conductors and touts on the #47 mini-bus route.

The incident took place on the 20th May at Longden Street, Stabroek.

The fight between the two was reportedly triggered by an argument over a passenger.

Hinds received several chops in the head and on his hands.

Devon Charles’ bail application was successful after his Attorney requested it in a reasonable amount.  The bail was set at $90,000 and the defendant will make his next court appearance on the June 16th.
