A taxi driver was today released on $80,000 bail, after he was charged for illegal possession of ammunition.

28-year-old, Clive Williams, who is a resident of Diamond Housing Scheme, stood before Magistrate, Judy Latchman and denied the allegation made against him.

The charge stated that on the 6th October, at North Rumiveldt, he had in his possession one live 9mm and one live .32 ammunition, while not being the holder of a firearm license.

The Police Prosecutor objected to bail on the grounds that when the car was searched by Police Officers, the live rounds were found in car, with the accused being the only person in the car at the time.

After the facts of the matter were read, the Magistrate released the accused on $80,000 bail and he was instructed to return to court on October 23rd.
