Dressed in black and white, the ladies strutted though the audience to the beat of OMI ‘s popular single “Cheerleader” as they showcased poise and confidence.

Among them are: Foreign Service Officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Shauna Ramdyhan, UK based Guyanese Zena Bland, local Chemist Najuma Nelson, St. Kitts based Guyanese Babita Seelall and Malika Russell who is a student at the Guyana School of Agriculture.

Also vying for the coveted crown are Tricia Quail, Make – up Artist, Diana Ahmad, aspiring Lawyer Kiswana Jefford and Linden born Melissa DeFreitas.

Almost all of the girls spoke a second language and they will take part in a televised question and answer segment of the pageant prior to November 15.
