16-year-old stabbed to death by 17-year-old at School Fair

The assailant is on the run and is believed to be a school drop out. The incident took place in the compound of the Covent Garden Nursery School just around 8:00pm. A concert was being hosted in the school compound.

16-year-old stabbed to death by 17-year-old at School Fair

A school concert turned deadly at Covent Garden on Saturday night when 16-year-old Covent Garden Secondary School student, Brian Charles Yearwood, was stabbed to death by a 17-year-old Kaneville youth.

The assailant is on the run and is believed to be a school drop out. The incident took place in the compound of the Covent Garden Nursery School just around 8:00pm. A concert was being hosted in the school compound.

According to a Police report, the victim was attending the concert when he was attacked and stabbed to the chest by the other youth.  The assailant ran from the scene as several persons who were attending the concert, rushed the bleeding teenager to the Diamond Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

Although, the name of the assailant has not been released, Police investigators have confirmed his identity and are continuing their efforts to locate him.

 

Some persons who attended the school fair, expressed shock over the killing and have also raised concern about the sale of alcoholic beverages to school aged children at the same event.

An investigation has been launched.
