$200,000 bail for barber charged with allegedly trafficking cocaine

At the Georgetown Magistrates’ today, a well-known barber was charged for trafficking over two pounds of cocaine. He was granted bail in the sum of $200,000.

Festival City resident and barber, Hosea Jacobs, stood before Chief Magistrate and denied any involvement in the crime.

The Court was told, that between 1st November and 29th November 2017, the barber aided in the trafficking of just over two pounds of the illegal substance.

His Attorney requested bail on the basis that his client had only been suspected of the crime after he had conducted a money transaction for a relative.

The Court was told that the man came to court of his own free will and was not a flight risk. After hearing that argument, bail was granted and the barber was also ordered to report to the Police every Friday until the completion of the case.

He will be back in Court on January 25, 2018.

The Chief Magistrate released the defendant on 200,000 bail, but on the condition that report to the police every Friday, he was also order to returned to court on January 25th.
