An Albouystown man was killed early on Wednesday morning as he made his way home from a wake in the area, just two corners from where he lived.
According to reports, the man who has been identified as Rayburn Harvey was walking along the street just before 1 am when two men on a motorcycle rode up along side and opened fired. He was shot three times to the upper body.
The two gunmen made good their escape on the motorcycle.
The man was taken to the Georgetown Hospital where he died while undergoing surgery.
The dead man was charged with a murder just over two years ago but was set free after the case fell apart.
