Brazilian authorities now claiming “illegal plane” was stolen and flown to Guyana

Brazilian authorities are now reportedly claiming that the illegal Brazilian registered aircraft that landed in Guyana, just over a month ago, was stolen.

This is according to State Minister, Joseph Harmon who said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Guyana has requested additional information on this new lead.

However, the information has not been forthcoming. The Guyana Police Force has since completed its probe of the discovery of the aircraft and that report has been forwarded to the Minister of Public Security.

Two weeks ago, Harmon stated that the investigators believe there may have been some collusion between some police officers in the area who first discovered the aircraft and the men who reportedly fled the scene as other officers moved in.

Just weeks after discovering an illegal airstrip in the Santa Fe, North Rupununi area, Police investigators found the illegal aircraft on another illegal airstrip in the area.
