Business Guyana magazine launched

The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce & Industry is looking to attract more investors to Guyana while at the same time showcasing economic development that has been taking place over the years. The GCCI has launched the fourth edition of the Guyana Business Magazine.

According to the chamber,  5000 copies of the magazine have been published will be distributed globally through Guyana’s Embassies and High Commissions.

The Chamber of Commerce is of the view that the content of the new edition sends a strong message to businesses and countries around the globe that “Guyana is not just open for business, but also that the nation is one of the best places to invest in and to operate with dynamic, thriving results.”

The theme of this year’s edition is “Transform Guyana” and features some of the planned business initiatives expected in the near future.

According to a statement from the GCCI, “the magazine’s content also highlights developments regarding Guyana’s emerging film industry, the need for updated intellectual property legislation, the upgrade of Ogle Airport to a world-class facility, overview of the functions of the Commercial Court and recommendations on how the court’s operations could be improved, and the establishment of the Guyana Mining School.”
