Police investigators are on the hunt for three men who carried out an early morning robbery on the owner of the Real Value Supermarket on Church Street.

The owner lives above the supermarket and according to reports, it was just after 4 o’ clock that he was awakened from his sleep by one of the three bandits who had reportedly gained access to the building from an unlocked door on its eastern side.

All three of the men were armed with guns and they pounced on the owner, 40-year-old, Jun Wong, forcing him to open up a safe in the building and handover millions of dollars in cash and other valuable items

News Source understands that the men may have made off with more than $7 million cash along with a quantity of gold and other valuables.

After carrying out the heist, the three bandits escaped by unlocking one of the doors to the front of the building and joining a waiting car.

Investigators are reviewing security camera recordings from the building.

A number of officials from the Chinese embassy visited the scene this morning as the investigators began their work.
