Cross dressing bandits rob Kitty “short time” Complex at gunpoint

A group of armed men who were dressed in women clothing robbed a Pere Street, Kitty Apartment Complex just after midnight on Sunday.

The men pounced on  the lone male employee, Mark Reid, and tied him up before trying to gain access to several occupied rooms on the lower flat of the complex which also offers short time services to clients.

An employee told New Source that two customers, a male and a female visited the complex – Mikel’s Plaza – around12:15am and were let in by Reid who was working the front desk.

Once the door was opened, Reid then realized that the two persons were not customers but armed bandits, one who was armed with a gun and dressed like a woman.

Three other men also forced their way into the building.

“The one that was dressed like a woman point the gun to him and they throw he on the ground, tied him up and leave him on the kitchen floor,” another employee related.

The men proceeded to ransack the building while asking Reid for the safe.

They unmounted a flat screen TV from the wall, took away two cellular phones, $18,000 in cash and emptied the stock fridge of beverages.

When they tried to gain access to the short time rooms, the customers kept the doors locked, forcing them to pull out of that plan.

Police Investigators who were called just after the bandits left, were able to review CCTV footage of the ordeal and dust the building for finger prints.

Investigations are ongoing.
