With real and painted tears rolling down his face, one-time, local social media sensation, “Tear Drop”, found himself before a City Magistrate facing robbery charges.

The 23-year-old young man, whose real name is Leon Clark, was granted bail in the sum of $75,000 after he was charged with breaking into the house of East La Penitence resident, Vincent Howard and carting off $1.1 Million in several items, including phone cards and cash.

A tearful, “Tear Drop”, told the Magistrate that he was not part of any robbery and there is nothing connecting him to the crime.

He said he is unaware of the circumstances that led to him being charged, since there was nothing that links him to the crime scene.

In applying for bail, the Tear Drop’s Attorney, Keoma Griffith, told the Court that his client is well known on social media with a large fan base and would not be a flight risk.

Bail was granted by Magistrate Leron Daly and the social media star was told to return to court on October 11, 2017.
