As the Police get ready to file murder charges against four Berbice men for the gruesome slaying of a Black Bush Polder man, his son and brother-in-law, more details are emerging about the confession made by the 17-year-old, who is believed to have been the trigger man in the crime.

Acting Police Commissioner, David Ramnarine, told the media on Friday that when the details of the triple murder are revealed in court, persons will be left in shock and disbelief.

According to sources familiar with the investigations, the four men in custody have admitted that it was the 17-year-old who used his father’s gun to shoot the three family members including a 15-year-old, to death at point blank range.

He reportedly did so after his father instructed him to take the lives of the three who were on a fishing trip and reportedly may have witnessed an attempt by the assailants to steal fuel belonging to a farmer in the area.

The dead men may have recognised the fuel thieves and were hunted down and shot to the head during their bid to escape.

The Acting Police Commissioner said it is horrifying that a father would give instructions and stand up and watch his son shoot three other persons to death. He noted that it is more horrifying when young people could take the law into their own hands.
