Florist wanted for cocaine in pastries

The Customs Anti Narcotics Unit has issued a wanted bulletin for Georgetown Florist and Interior Decorator Raul Chin, in connection with the recent drug bust at the airport when over 15 pounds of cocaine was discovered baked into cheese rolls, pine tarts and mettai.

Several checks have been made to Chin’s home and business place since the bust, but those searches have all come up empty handed. Investigators believe he has gone into hiding.

A Berbice taxi drive has been charged and remanded to prison on the drug trafficking charge in connection with the same case. The taxi driver was the outgoing passenger who had the cocaine filled pastries. He has been talking with investigators.

CANU agents have asked that if anyone has information on their whereabouts of Raul Anthony Chin, they should contact CANU on telephone number 227-3507.
