A Guyhoc Park man was on Wednesday placed on $150,000 Bail after he was charged with stabbing another man during a confrontation with the intent to murder him,

Market vendor and footballer, Kurt Joseph made his first appearance in court before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan to answer to the charge of attempted murder.

The charge read that on the 18th June at Tucville, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Tavel December with the intent to murder him.

According to the prosecutor, on the day in question, an argument broke out between the two men, and it was then that Joseph pulled out a knife and stabbed the man to the chest.

The victim survived the stabbing but had to be rushed into surgery. Bail was granted in the sum of 150,000 and the matter will come up again on August 7.
