Linden woman busted with cocaine in chunks

A woman from Half Mile, Wismar Linden appeared in the Georgetown’s Magistrates Court on Friday before the Chief Magistrate to face drug trafficking charges.

20 year old Onika Neils was refused bail after she pleaded not guilty to the charge of drug trafficking.

She was busted early on Friday at the Georgetown Post Office when she attempted to ship just over 2 pounds of cocaine in a box that contained vegetarian chunks. The woman claimed that she was given the box by someone to post but never inquired about its contents.

According to the CANU prosecutors, efforts were being made to locate a man who the woman is in a relationship with, since it is the same man who reportedly drove her to the city from Linden and gave her the package to post.

The Prosecutor told the Court that the cocaine was found discovered in small packets and wrapped in the vegetarian chunks. Neils will make her next Court appearance on September 10, 2013.
