Man found dead at South Dakota circuit

The body of an East Bank Demerara man was found in his car at the South Dakota circuit in the Timehri area on Sunday night. The man has been identified as David Persaud aka Dave Persaud. It is believed that he lived at Farm on the East Bank of Demerara.

According to reports the man was found slumped to the side of the driver’s seat of his car with license plate number PCC 2084. Persons at the scene said there appears to be no signs of a struggle or any foul play. It is suspected that he may have died from a heart attack. However, police investigators at the scene are not ruling anything out at this stage.

Reports suggest that he was seen in the company of a woman earlier in the day. Some of his relatives turned up at the scene this evening and were visibly shocked by the man’s death. He is believed to be in his late 50’s.

The South Dakota circuit is used for car racing events. There were no events at the venue on Sunday. Story developing.
