In a statement, the Police said the youth was riding without a safety helmet as he proceeded west along the roadway at a fast rate and lost control while negotiating the turn at the  “Russian Embassy” and collided with the guard rail.

An investigation has been launched.

Some residents in the area reported hearing the loud noise of the motorcycle slamming into the guard rail. When they rushed out to the scene, the man’s motionless body laid in the nearby grass. Emergency services were summoned and both the Police and Paramedics arrived on the scene, but it may have been too late as the hearse was summoned.

He was taken to the Georgetown Hospital where doctors officially pronounced him dead.

The youngster only recently bought the motorcycle and got his license as a rider.
