With a suitcase in her right hand and a bottle of juice in the left, a North West District woman was remanded to prison today, after being charged with the attempted murder of her boyfriend.
Thirty five year-old, Cynthia McIntyre was not allowed to enter a plea to the indictable charge when she appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
The Court was told that on the 17th April, 2017, at Four Mile Arataca, North West District, with the intent to commit to murder, the woman maliciously wounded her boyfriend, Ryan Roberts.
According to information revealed in Court, the two were involved in an argument that quickly tuned into a fist fight.
The angry woman allegedly broke a glass bottle and used it to stab the boyfriend to the chest. The young man remains in a critical condition. The Prosecutor told the Court that the boyfriend remains hospitalised with serious internal injuries from the stabbing.
Bail was denied and the accused was remanded. She will make her next court appearance on May 19th, at the Matthew’s Ridge Court.
