Probe continues into airplane crash at Ogle

The Guyana Civil Aviation Authority is continuing its investigations into the Saturday morning crash of a Cessna 206 aircraft which sped off of the runway and toppled just as it was about to take off from the Ogle International Airport.

A female passenger was seriously injured in the accident and remains hospitalized. The investigations intend to look at the  air worthiness of the aircraft as well as the weight it was carrying at the time.

Some concerns have already been expressed that the Kato bound plane may have been overloaded. Companies and private citizens usually use the small airlines to ferry goods into the interior location.

Sources close to the GCAA have said all of the issues will be examined as part of the investigation.
