PSC Chairman Ronald Webster Dies

The Chairman of the Private Sector Commission, Ronald Webster passed away early on Sunday morning at a private hospital where he was recovering after a surgery that was done in Trinidad recently.

Webster was the Managing Director of Caribbean Container Incorporated and sat on a number of boards and organisations.

Mr. Webster’s surgery in Trinidad and Tobago was cancer related and he recently came back to Guyana as part of his recovery. He had been battling cancer for a while.

Several senior members of the Private Sector have expressed sadness at his passing.

He has been at the forefront of  many of the initiatives of the Private Sector Commission and only recently was pushing for the passage of the amendments to the anti money laundering legislation.
