A young man believed to be in his mid 20’s was shot dead on Monday afternoon, moments after he had reportedly robbed a customers of a spare parts store at gunpoint.

The incident took place in the Campbellville area. According to reports, the young man whipped out a gun and carried out a daring robbery on the man close to the store, but as he was trying to escape on a motorcycle, the man who was armed with a gun gave chase and fired shots behind him.

The suspected bandit was shot to the head and the ambulance and police were summoned to the area. When the ambulance arrived, the man was already dead. An investigation is underway.
