Guyana’s Minister of Home Affairs and the General Secretary of the governing People’s Progressive Party, Clement Rohee was taken to a private city hospital on Thursday evening to undergo medical tests after feeling ill for the past two days.
The Minister who was absent from Thursday’s sitting of the National Assembly reportedly complained of having flu-like symptoms and pains about his body.
A decision was made late Thursday for him to seek medical assistance as his complains grew. He is being closely monitored although his illness is not believed to be serious. Reports indicate that he is diabetic and his current illness may be related to that medical condition.
