The court heard that on May 19th, 2017 at Port Kaituma, the young sailor was found with 1814 Grams of Marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

A sailor appeared in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court today and was remanded to Prison, after he was caught with 4 Pounds of Marijuana.

25-Year-Old Jermaine Black, stood before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan and entered a plea of not guilty to the charge of marijuana possession for trafficking.

The court heard that on May 19th, 2017 at Port Kaituma, the young sailor was found with 1814 Grams of Marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

After the the charge was read, the Prosecutor objected to bail. He told the court that the illegal drug was found in the sailor’s cabin.

The sailor was remanded to prison until August 8th, when the matter will be called again  at the Matthews Ridge Magistrates’ Court.
