Soldier may have been murdered
The Guyana Police has reported that a post-mortem examination which was performed on the body of soldier Akeem Sampson of Rewa Street, Lamaha Springs, Georgetown, by Pathologist Dr. Nehual Singh found that the man died from haemorrhage and shock due to fractured skull.
Akeem Sampson’s body was found in his home at Lamaha Springs. Police now say a number of persons in the area are to be questioned about the man’s death. The partly decomposed body of the GDF Corporal was found lying in his bedroom. Neighbours and the man’s step son had to break into the house to check on the man after they had not seen him for a number of days.
Police investigators say they intend to widen their investigations into the matter now that the post-mortem report is out.
