St. Stanislaus teacher missing; family members worried

Police Investigators in Georgetown are trying to track down the whereabouts of 34-year-old St. Stanislaus College teacher, Nyozi Goodman who has not been seen or heard from since Sunday.

The former Miss Linden who now lives in Georgetown and has been teaching at the St. Stanislaus College for a number of years, was last seen on Sunday night at a school’s basketball competition at the National Gymnasium.

According to her brother, Nestor Thompson, Nyozi along with another teacher accompanied some students of the school to the Sunday evening game but after the game, she reportedly told the students and the other teacher that she would be waiting back, as she expected someone to pick her up to take her home.

The young woman never arrived home and family members became very worried on Monday when they could not make any contact with her.

Her cellphone is turned off and she has not contacted any relative or friend since Sunday. Her landlord, reportedly told family members that the last time he saw her was on Sunday before she left the house.

Her brother said while other family members live in Linden, he and his sister are the only ones who live in Georgetown and they would keep in regular contact with each other. He said he has not heard from his sister in four days and is very worried since she is not the type of person to not contact relatives often.

The family is asking that anyone who may know of the whereabouts of Nyozi Goodman to contact the nearest Police station or call 692-4526.
