Three persons die in separate accidents

The Guyana Police Force has reported that 3 persons lost their lives in separate accidents over the weekend across the three counties.

On Saturday, 38-year-old Mukesh Mangar of Pigeon Island, East Coast Demerara was travelling in the tray of a motor canter vehicle along the Hope Public Road on the East Coast Demerara when he fell out and was badly injured. He succumbed to his injuries after being taken to the hospital.

Also on Saturday,  a 19-year-old whose name was given as Garbadan Whadan was the pillion rider on a motor cycle when he was involved in an accident on the Essequibo Coast. He was rushed to the city where he died at the Georgetown Hospital.

And on Sunday at Tain on the Corentyne Coast, an 8-year-old child of Brothers village on the Corentyne was killed when he was hit down by a speeding motor car. The dead 8-year-old has been identified as Dinesh Chand. The driver of the motor car has been arrested and could face charges as early as Tuesday.
