A Canadian man who was in-transit at the Cheddi Jagan International on his way to Canada was busted on Tuesday afternoon with over 20 pounds of cocaine in the false bottoms of his suitcases.
According to reports the man arrived in Guyana on a Caribbean Airlines flight and was about to board his connection to Toronto when members of the Narcotics branch of the Police Force uncovered the cocaine in the two suitcases bearing his name. He was arrested and was questioned into late Tuesday evening. He is expected to face drug trafficking charges before the end of the week.
