The woman who was stabbed to death by her lover after she stabbed him in a bizarre double murder at Kamarang over the weekend is the same East Coast woman who escaped death just over a year ago when an ex-lover opened fire on her house, killing her 1-year-old grand daughter instead.

45-year-old Shelly Norton was found dead over the weekend near her shop in the interior mining district of Kamarang. Not too far from her body, was the lifeless body of her lover, Kurt Reynolds.

Investigators say Norton stabbed the man twice to his abdomen but he managed to wrestle the knife away from her and stabbed her repeatedly. They both collapsed and died on the spot.

In October 2015, the same Shelly Norton was grateful for spared life after her ex-lover, Mark Angoy had opened fire on her home at Annandale.

Her 1-year-old grand daughter was hit by one of the bullets and died on the spot.

She claimed then that the two had broken up after they had problems with their interior business and she decided to move out of his house and move on with her life.

The man is currently before the court facing murder and other charges related to the death of the baby.

But it was the same interior business operation, this time with a new lover, that led to the disagreement which resulted in NortonĀ and the new lover stabbing each other to death.

That case is still being investigated but her family has once again been plunged into mourning.
