Guyana’s under-11 Gold medallist at the Caribbean Pre-Cadet Table Tennis Championships, Kaysan Ninvalle has inked a lifetime membership deal with the Fitness 53 gym.
Proprietor of the gym and former West Indies captain Ramnaresh Sarwan said he heard extremely great things of the young Ninvalle and was extremely pleased with his performance.
Sarwan added, “this probably one of the best fitness facilities in the country and we would like Kaysan to utilize the facility and work hard since it is important to be fully fit for any sport that one plays”.
President of the Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) Godfrey Munroe thanked Sarwan for the making the gesture and stated that he is looking forward for more corporate entities supporting the association’s athletes.
Munroe disclosed that “We have recently got good news from the ITTF [International Table Tennis Federation] that he has been selected to participate in a World Hopes training camp in October from the 18-25 in Lima, Peru and he is one those prospects that could represent us in future at the Olympics”.
Last month, in Jamaica, the 10-year-old won this country’s only gold medal of the championships when he defeated Trinidad and Tobago’s Jalen Kerr in a tough match which went the distance.
