ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — Three persons were shot one fatally in the Braeton area of Portmore, St Catherine early Saturday morning.

The deceased has been identified as 34-year-old Businessman Jamey Ridley of a Kingston 8 address.

OBSERVER ONLINE understands that the incident occurred at a fish fry about 1:30 am, where patrons were gathered when a Toyota Corolla motor vehicle pulled up.

It is said that the occupants of the vehicle opened gunfire hitting Ridley and two other persons.

An off duty officer who was at the scene reportedly challenged the men, however they managed to escape.

The injured were taken to hospital where Ridley was pronounced dead and the others admitted.

No motive has been established for the shooting. (Jamaica Observer)
