A 42-year-old businesswoman who was allegedly caught with a quantity of cocaine was today charged for cocaine trafficking and remanded to jail.
It is alleged, that the woman, Samantha Hubbard was nabbed with just over five ounces of cocaine in her handbag on Wednesday.
She was in the Charlotte Street area at the time.
The accused was represented by Attorney Dexter Todd who failed in his attempt to secure bail for her.
The Police Prosecutor explained to the Court that the woman was arrested after the Police, acting on information went to area and effected a search.
She will remain behind bars until her case comes up again on the 18th October.
