Cold Case: Man charged and remanded for Alberttown murder 14 years after incident

Fourteen years after Albouystown resident, Collis DeAbreau was shot dead outside the Blue Iguana nightclub, justice is finally flickering in the case.

On Friday, Mark Lowchee aka Mark Lee was charged and remanded to prison for the 25-year-old man’s murder.

Lowchee made his appearance in court with the assistance of a walking stick and help from Police officers.

It was back in 2003 when Lowchee allegedly opened fire outside the Alberttown nightclub, shooting DeAbreau and at least two others.

DeAbreau tried to run from the scene but collapsed and died in a nearby yard from his gunshot wounds.

An arrest warrant was issued for the accused at the time, but he managed to evade law enforcement for over a decade.

When he appeared in Court on Friday, he collapsed to the ground and had to be assisted by officers of the Court.  He was not required to enter a plea to the indictable charge and after listening to the official filing of the matter, the Magistrate remanded the accused until December 5, 2017.
