The Court heard that on the 2nd September at Houston Public Road, being armed with a gun, he robbed Roxanne John of a Shoulder Bag and $31,000 Cash, along with other items totaling $50,800.

Former robbery accused remanded after new robbery charges

At the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court today, a man who recently had a robbery charge against him discharged, found himself back in Court today. This time, facing two additional robbery charges.

The Accused, Dexter Wray, a resident of Agricola, stood before Magistrate Judy Latchman and denied the allegation on both charges.

The Court heard that on the 2nd September at Houston Public Road, being armed with a gun, he robbed Roxanne John of a Shoulder Bag and $31,000 Cash, along with other items totaling $50,800.

It was further alleged that on the same day, he also robbed Mark Josiah of $25,000 cash.

The Police Prosecutor objected to bail, based on the fact that a gun was used to commit the crimes. The accused was remanded to prison until September 25th.
