A young member of the Guyana Police Force found himself on the wrong side of the law today as he was charged with the rape of a 15-year-old girl.
23-year-old Mark Auto found himself before a City Magistrate facing the rape charge based on allegation that during the month of May 2017, he engaged in sexual penetration of a child.
The alleged incident took place in the Roxanne Burnham Gardens area. The young policeman was not required to enter a plea to the indictable charge.
He was remanded to jail and will return to Court next week for the continuation of the case.
