The Guyana Police Force this afternoon issued wanted bulletins for six men from Amelia’s Ward, Linden for the execution-style murder of Ian Williams and the attempted murder of his girlfriend, Melita Antiga.
Williams was gunned down on the 28th September at Lover’s Lane Amelia’s Ward as he drove a car with his girlfriend inside. He was hit multiple times to the body, while the girlfriend sustained fewer injuries and has been hospitalised since.
Those wanted for the crime are 21-year Martin Fraser of Constabulary Compound, Linden, 23-year-old Renard Caesar of South Amelia’s Ward Linden, 25-year-old Richard Caesar of South Amelia’s Ward Linden, 32-year-old Randy Billy of South Amelia’s Ward Linden, 31-year-old Sherwin Benjamin of South Amelia’s Ward Linden and 28-year-old Denzil Grant of South Amelia’s Ward Linden.
Investigators believe that the six are all part of a gang in the mining community that has been involved in a number of incidents against other persons suspected to be involved with another gang.
The Guyana Police Force is asking for anyone with information on the whereabouts of any of the six men to contact the nearest Police station or call 911.
