According to a Police report, the teenager and his cousin Ron Moonsammy were at a shop along with the foster father drinking alcoholic beverages when a row erupted between the teen and the stepdad.

A 17-year-old young man was stabbed to death in the North West District in Region One by his foster father who has since gone on the run. A cousin of the dead youth was also attacked and stabbed by the foster father and he remains in a critical condition.

The incident took place on Sunday night, according to the Police.

The dead 17-year-old has been identified as Daniel Wilson.

According to a Police report, the teenager and his cousin Ron Moonsammy were at a shop along with the foster father drinking alcoholic beverages when a row erupted between the teen and the foster dad.

It was at the height of the argument that the suspect Nigel Abraham whipped out a knife and attacked the teen, stabbing him to the body several times.

When the cousin attempted to intervene, he was stabbed in the chest. The two cousins were rushed to the hospital where the 17-year-old was pronounced dead and the other cousin admitted in a critical condition.

The suspect, 30-year-old Nigel Abraham has since gone on the run. Last evening, the Guyana Police Force issued a wanted bulletin for his arrest.
