18-Year-Old, Mowally Clark, will spend the next couple of weeks,contemplating how much time he will be spending in Prison after pleading guilty to two armed robbery charges.

The Court is awaiting a probation report before handing down a sentence.

The Teen made his first appearance before Magistrate Fabayo Azore today to answer to the robbery charges.

The Court heard that on the 6th July at Norton Street, the accused, being armed with a knife, robbed Saheed Khan of one Samsung S5 mobile phone, which was valued at $120,000.  He also robbed Joel Ramsaram of another Samsung mobile phone which was valued at $45,000.

What the man did not realise, is that he was committing the criminal act in full view of surveillance cameras in the area.

The Police Prosector told the court that the man held his two victims at knife point while demanding their valuables. He made his escape once the items were handed over to him.

During his court hearing, Mowally apologised for his actions and explained to the Court that he was “high on marijuana” and under its influence when he committed the criminal acts.

He pleaded guilty to the charges and was taken back into custody to await sentencing. That sentencing will come on August 2nd after the Magistrate would have been able to read a probation report on him.
