A 19-year-old man from the village of Meten-Meer-Zorg on the West Coast of Demerara has become the country’s latest murder victim.
His name has been given as Noel Singh and he worked as a fisherman in the same area.
A Police statement said a 20-year old man from the same village is being sought from the crime.
The two young men reportedly had an argument six days ago and their disagreement became physical last evening when Singh was repeatedly stabbed to the body.
He was taken to Leonora hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
An investigation has been launched as the Police search for the suspect.
