222 new COVID-19 cases recorded in 3 days

Based on the figures released by the Ministry of Health, in the past three days, the country has recorded a total of 222 new cases of the disease.

Guyana has recorded 76 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of active cases to 592.

The country has also crossed the 9000 mark of the number of positive cases diagnosed since the first case was found one year ago.

Based on the figures released by the Ministry of Health, in the past three days, the country has recorded a total of 222 new cases of the disease with more than half of the new cases being found in Region 4.

The spike in new cases is coming at a time when the government is rolling out the coronavirus vaccine.

Just over 1300 persons have been vaccinated so far.

The Health Ministry continues to plead with citizens to follow the COVID-19 guidelines and to avoid large gatherings.
