Persons living in low-lying and flood-prone areas are being urged to be vigilant and cautious as the weather conditions could cause significant flooding. Hilly areas are being warned about possible mudslides.

A new weather warning has been issued by the local Hydromet service and frequent and continuous rainfall and thunderstorms are expected across the country.

The 24-hour weather warning expires tonight. 

In a statement, the Hydromet service said rainfall will measure between one and four inches across the country.
