A total of 32 coronavirus related deaths have already been recorded since the start of October and the majority of the deaths were patients in the COVID-19 ICU at the Georgetown Hospital.

The Health Ministry is still not providing details on the deaths other than the age of the persons and the Region where they lived.

Three deaths were recorded on Monday pushing the total to 114 and there are still more than 10 persons in the COVID-19 ICU.

The three latest fatalities are all women between the ages of 60 and 75 and they are all from the Region Four area.

On Sunday, two deaths were also reported.

The Ministry of Health today indicated that the number of new infections in Guyana continues to climb. A total of 31 new cases were recorded in the past day from more than 250 completed tests.

Citizens are being reminded to wear face masks, sanitize and keep their distance from others while out in the public.
