A 70-year-old Guyanese woman is now detained at the Brooklyn Metro Detention Centre after she was busted at New York’s JFK Airport with close to four pounds of cocaine on Saturday. The woman arrived in New York on a flight from Guyana.

The elderly woman has been identified as Olive Fowler. The cocaine was stashed in two layers of underwear that the woman was wearing.

Just after her arrival, she was reportedly pulled aside for questioning and officers decided to carry out a pat down. It was during the searches that they noticed that granny’s panty had an extra weight attached to it.

The extra underwear was removed and the substance tested positive to be cocaine. Local Drug Enforcement Officers have been notified of the bust and their investigations may lead them to whoever may have dressed the 70-year-old woman for her New York trip.
