Banks DIH wins Top Award for Coca Cola Quality and Sales

It is the second time that the Company has won the Award, having first secured the title in 2016 ahead of other leading bottlers in the Caribbean and Latin America that competed in several categories including sales, health, safety, and the environment.

Local conglomerate Banks DIH Limited has won the prestigious Coca-Cola Excellence Cup Award for performance excellence in the production and sales of Coca Cola. The award covers small markets within the Coca-Cola Latin Centre Business Unit and its part of an annual competition.

It is the second time that the Company has won the Award, having first secured the title in 2016 ahead of other leading bottlers in the Caribbean and Latin America that competed in several categories including sales, health, safety, and the environment.

The announcement was made last weekend during the annual Awards Ceremony of the Latin Centre Business Unit.

Human Resources Director at Banks DIH, Andrew Carto said “it is with a sense of pride and accomplishment that we accept on behalf of our team at Banks DIH, recognition from the Coca-Cola Company in the Excellence Award, that our effort and contribution were not in vain and were recognized”.

 He said Banks DIH Limited reiterates its total alignment with the objectives of the Coca-Coca Company to grow the iconic Brand and to uphold the attributes of quality, consistency, health, the safety of employees and promoting sustainable development both globally and with the communities in which it operates.

Mr. Carto also recognized the contribution of Quality Management and Sales/Marketing teams led by Ms. Seeranie Ramnauth –Quality Assurance Executive, Ms. Jennifer Khan – Coca Cola Brand Executive and Ms. Afesha Burke – Environment and Safety Executive for their unstinting support.

Banks DIH Limited has been a bottling partner with Coca-Cola for over 30 years when the iconic beverage was officially launched in Guyana.

The company said its relationship with Coca-Cola has been a rewarding experience on several fronts, adding that the brand continues to grow in Guyana as its quality improves.
