Body of missing Linden woman found buried in boyfriend’s backyard

The body of the 21-year-old Linden woman who went missing three weeks ago has been found buried in a shallow grave in her boyfriend’s backyard in Canvas City Linden.

The young woman, Shonette Dover was last seen alive on the 3rd April when she reportedly left home for work. Her workplace however said she never showed up for duty over the Easter weekend.

It was the boyfriend, Shaquan Allen, and relatives of the woman who filed a missing person’s report when they could not make contact with her.

There were reports that the woman had confided in friends and relatives that she was having problems with her boyfriend. The two lived together, according to family members.

The boyfriend had told Police investigators that he was unaware of her whereabouts, explaining that the two did not have any problems. He however, admitted that he was told that she was also seeing someone else.

In the past three weeks, a search party was launched with the Police.

The body was discovered early this morning.

The Police Commander in the area told News Source that the boyfriend was not at home at the time of the discovery in his yard and efforts are now underway to locate him.
