Bourda vendor remanded for marijuana possession

The charge stated that on the 3rd October, the North Ruimveldt resident had 448 grammes of marijuana in his possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Bourda vendor remanded for marijuana possession

A 35-year-old, Bourda Market Vendor was today remanded to prison after he was charged for marijuana possession.

The accused, Ras Paris appeared before before Magistrate Fabayo Azore and denied the allegation.

The charge stated that on the 3rd October, the North Ruimveldt resident had 448 grammes of marijuana in his possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The Police Prosecutor objected to bail.

In a statement in the courtroom, the young man said the Police searched the bottom flat of a house where he resides and discovered the marijuana in the possession of two other persons.

He claims the two persons were sent away and he was charged instead.  Bail was refused and he will make his next court appearance on October 25, 2017.
