The businesswoman who was arrested after a cooler of marijuana stuffed chicken was found in her possession has been charged and granted bail on drug trafficking charges.

The woman, Jenette Gravesande appeared at the Bartica Magistrates Court this morning and pleaded not guilty to the charge of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.

The Prosecutor told the Court that the 40-year-old was held by Police on Saturday after a search of an ice cooler in her possession unearthed several plucked whole chickens with large packets of marijuana stuffed in them.

The accused was granted bail in the sum of $200,000 and told to return to Court on the 23rd June for the continuation of the case against her.
