Chinese restaurant owner arrested after beating dog food salesman

According to a Police statement, the 33-year-old restaurant owner objected to the man selling dog food in front of his restaurant. The two got into an argument and the dog food vendor armed himself with a 2x4 piece of wood as the argument intensified.

The owner of a Chinese restaurant in New Amsterdam has found himself in the lockups and facing serious charges after he savagely beat a young man who sells dog food.

According to a Police statement, the 33-year-old restaurant owner objected to the man selling dog food in front of his restaurant. The two got into an argument and the dog food vendor armed himself with a 2×4 piece of wood as the argument intensified.

He eventually dropped the wood and was walking away, when the restaurant owner picked up the same wood and attacked the man with it from behind, hitting him about the body.

The injured dog food vendor was taken to a hospital in the area, but has since been transferred to the Georgetown Hospital with serious injuries.

Assault charges are expected to be laid in the matter soon.
