The Justice for All Party which is part of the APNU+AFC Coalition has admitted that the coalition lost the 2nd March elections and it was now time to move on.

In a statement on Friday night, JFAP Leader, CN Sharma said the recount of votes has determined and showed that the PPP Civic won the elections and therefore its Presidential Candidate, Irfaan Ali, should be allowed to be sworn in without delay.

“I am appealing to the persons who are determined on delaying the process of a declaration, It has been an exhausting 108 days for all the sons and daughters of this Nation”, Sharma said.

The businesssman turned politician said “Enough is enough” and it is time for Guyana to move since the country needs its government to start making decisions as it faces hardships as a result of the ongoing pandemic.

Mr. Sharma said it is now a time for the country to be strong and stand together and he will not remain silent any longer as his party remains on the side of This is a time we must be strong and stand together. I simply all Guyanese.

CN Sharma and his wife Savitree who is a candidate for the APNU+AFC were among a group of Coalition Leaders who met with President David Granger earlier this week at State House.

The Guyana Elections Commission is still to declare the final result of the elections as a Court matter is set to be heard on the issues surrounding the declaration.

The Court matter comes up before the Court of Appeal on Saturday.
