Panamanian flag carrier Copa Airlines has announced the appointment of Ms. Nadine Oudkerk as the local sales manager for Copa Airlines in Guyana. The appointment became effective on May 19th 2014, according to a release from the company.
Copa Airlines is gearing up to launch its service to the Guyana marker from July.
According to Copa Airlines, “Ms. Oudkerk is a Guyanese national who brings a wealth of marketing experience to the job. She has been in the marketing and tourism field for more than 10 years and has made significant strides in producing results”.
The release from the airline said that before joining Copa Airlines, Oudkerk was the Senior Marketing Officer with the Guyana Tourism Authority.
The new Sales Manager said “Copa offers an incredible opportunity for the people of Guyana to experience a higher and distinctive level of travel and service. With 69 destinations in 30 countries, Copa’s offers to the market will connect us in ways that were never before possible and at very competitive prices. I am looking forward to working with this dynamic airline and the passionate team to ensure the success of Copa Airlines in Guyana.”
The carrier currently offers service to 69 destinations in 30 countries in North, Central and South America and the Caribbean. The Government of Guyana has welcomed the addition of Copa to the local market. The airline is also in the process of hiring and training staff members for its Georgetown operations and its operations at the Cheddi Jagan Airport.
